TV Schematic

I have a problem with the Apex 32 inch tv. The picture is too wide for the screen.?

I have read the owner's manual and service manual and have checked the internet thoroughly to find an answer. My son had the same problem with his Magnavox tv. He went online and found the service code and fixed his tv. The service code for this tv is press mute on remote and either the video or menu button on the tv simultaneously. Neither or these work. I have Directv and we cannot read the left side of the guide nor can you see any scrolling on the bottom of the tv. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

1. Did you press the buttons at the same time? Also try pressing one button then the next. In other words, press and continue to hold that button - then press the next button.
