I have a Quasar tv model TP3947AE mid range of channels 23-60 have no reception, I am looking for schematics.?
As the tv is 20 years old I am not taking it to a repair shop but I would still like to"tinker" with the problem. All of the other channels work fine. Just the middle range of channels look like the tv is turned off as you search through the channels in that area.

- Are you trying to receive cable channels 23-60 or UHF 23-60? Do you receive channels below and above? If you are using cable and do receive both above and below, try looking for a cable mode switch and see if you have it flipped to something other than regular cable mode. If there is one on this model , it would probably have the choice of Air, Normal or regular cable, Irc, Hrc.It may be on the front behind a hidden door or on the back of the set next to the cable input jack. If the tuner is defective, You will probably have to replace it since they are almost impossible to repair for this type of symptom. The schematic can be acquired at most repair shops in the form of Sam's Photo-fact number 2548-1. The tuner does not usually have a schematic for it though. It would be a lot cheaper and easier to just add a HD tuner box and use it on channel 3. Good luck tinkering.
