Samsung Tv repair question? I have a Samsung LNT4665FX with screen problems. I have replaced two caps on the PSB and got the tv to turn on. Now the screen will have lines in it, and then go dark. green blob in corner migrates towards center sometimes. The backlight is still illuminated though when screen goes dark. I tried to reflow solder on the main BGA chip on the main Audio/ video driver board. No luck. Replaced the main Audio/ Video board with a new one. Still no luck. Could it be the LCD controller board? I don't know what else would cause this? What should I be looking at now, knowing the power supply board is ok and the main audio/ video board is ok? I don't suspect the screen, but, you never know... Thanks

I'm looking for reliable place for plasma tv repair in NY/NJ area. Samsung HPT4254X/XAA? I have a 42" Samsung plasma tv which is out-of-warranty and just broke (it lasted about 18 months). I want to repair it but there is no way I'm spending like $500 or $600. I'll rather go and buy a new plasma. I'm having authorized Samsung service repair appointment on Monday so I don't have an estimate yet but I want to cover myself because I heard those repairs are kind of expensive. I was wondering if there is someone reliable in NY/NJ area. Thanks.

Samsung plasma tv repair? I have a 42 in. Samsung plasma tv that initially the entire screen would flicker on and off regardless of the input source or cabling. After this continued for a couple of months until horizontal lines (red or purple) permanently appeared across the screen regardless of input source. Warranty TV Repair for samsung ln40a550? I have a Samsung LN40A550 that this week stopped working. All that happens is the red power light blinks on and off. If anyone could shed any light on if they had similar problems or how they fixed it without repairmen would be great, but the real question is.... The TV is still under warranty (barely. I got a one month extension because the 1 year period had JUST ended) So, if the authorized repair store can't fix it, does it get replaced? Do I get a check? I got it at Circuit City, so they're not around anymore, but the warranty claim has been approved by Samsung, now I just have to wait for the authorized shop to come. So the power switch doesn't work, but there's still enough power to make the light blink on and off?

Issues with Sears repair on a Samsung LCD TV? I have been without our 8 month old Samsung 52" LCD TV for 2 months! Everytime Sears came out to repair the tv, they could not and need to order more parts. (only twice) And of course every time we would set a date for it to be fixed, we would get a call that the parts are back ordered!!! Finally my husband called Samsung...funny they have the parts!!! hummm? So, we ordered the part and it came within less then a week. They have not cam out to fix it yet, but Samsung said if this does not work we will get a new tv. I believe that Sears owes me some sort of reinbursment! Has anyone had any problems with Sears?? How best to sell a 'huge' TV that needs repair and is only 3 years old!? A family member has a huge TV (Samsung 62 in.) with stand that cost $3000! It recently lost it's picture and the TV repair person said it would cost $700 plus service call to repair. These are young folks with no way of paying that much. Samsung 61" DLP TV Repair, GEEK Squad!? GEEK Squad is coming today to repair my TV. It needs a new bulb and the main power button on the TV does not work. You have to push the button 10-20 times to get it to work. I talked to GEEK Squad (Best Buy) this morning about the power button. They said it is not covered by the extended warranty because they consider it a cosmetic part of the TV. Sounds like a load of crap to me! So if you cannot find the remote because the kids missed placed it or it is lost in the house your TV is worthless until you find it. Does this make any sense to any of you? What do you all think about that? Paid $425 for the warranty about 3.75 years ago! Big waste!

What is wrong with my Samsung projection tv? My samsung hdtv projection tv recently stopped working. I turned it on and it make a pop sound and then turned off. 50' samsung tv...having a problem? we just bought our tv back in october of 2007... and we seen that it had black spots on the picture and over time it more and more started to appear on the screen...so we called a tv repair company and they told us that it was dust...but we dont understand why it would start this way when taken out of the box and then we are told its dust...we never heard of dust being a problem for a tv like this sticking to the inside of the screen...should we take it back since its still under warranty?

Samsung not offering replacement tv after continuous problems? Okay, i'll start off by saying that i really like samsung quality, and i own several samsung tv's that have lived many years. I bought a 46 inch samsung lcd tv from futureshop just over a year ago, and in about july/august, a vertical line appeared on the right side of the tv. We contacted futureshop, and they sent someone over to assess the tv and take it away for repairs. They replaced the panel, and it took about three weeks 'till it was back in our family room. When we recieved the tv, the line was gone, but now there was a stuck pixel on the screen. This may have been caused by the tv being mishandled during repairs. we ignored the pixel cause we knew about the pixel policies in the warranty. Then, when my brother was watching tv, the screen turned green, and the tv emitted a high-pitch tone, and shut off itself. we contacted the repair shop through futureshop and they took the tv away again for three weeks, replacing the panel again. this time, the tv warranty was nearly over. when we got it back, we were watching it and a line appeared on the right hand side. then we contacted samsung and said our tv warranty was over, but this was a re-occuring problem, and they said they couldnt do anything about it, and that they dont have to deal with it anymore after the 12th of december. keep in mind that each panel has an additional 90 day warranty. Then we contacted the repair shop again, and they said they'd come pick it up again, but as the holidays approach, we need a good tv in our family room as people will be coming, and it is really disappointing when our tv spends more time in the repair shop than in our house. the tv is also getting dings from getting moved in and out around for repairs. Next time, we plan on telling them to order the panel, and bring it to our home and have it repaired there, cause they take too long elsewhere, and we'll have them sign a notice about any damage on the tv. This is beyond the point of frustration, and they will soon replace more panels than the tv is worth. so it's a lose-lose situation for samsung and us, but the repair shop is probably still making money. Is there any possible way to have this tv declared a "lemon", and have it replaced? Any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you!

The picture on my Samsung TV has shifted upwards? My Samsung TSL3293HF 32" Dynaflat made in 2002 is having a screen problem. The screen has a portion at the bottom that is all black, and the remaining portion of the picture has shifted upwards. When on for a long period, the picture continues to travel up until there is no visible picture left on the screen. Any ideas how to fix this on my own (i am a novice) or how much it would be to get repaired. I have a picture i can send as well. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

About 1/8 up from the bottom of the screen I have a perfectlystraight blue line that started out small now it goes just about 1/2 way across the screen. samsung tv 40 inch lcd problem? hi i have a samsung model no: LA40F81BD This is the 3rd time its going into repair PROBLEM is the tv works fine for 5 minutes then the picture starts to flicker like on/off flicker but really fast then the screen goes black but still has sound I play xbox 360 on it ,can the high resolution with games stuff up my tv? or have you heard of this problem elsewhere and what is it?

Samsung SP50 L7HX TV - Turns itself off, then on, off, on etc and the screen is really dull? I have had the samsung dlp tv for nearly 2 years. I turned it on a few days ago and it just turned itself straight off, then came back on, then off. It did this a few times before the picture came up and it was really dull, almost too dull to watch. It then switched itself off, then on, then off etc all over again. I have tried hoovering out all the dust from the vents (as suggested on another website), turning it off and unplugging it for 24 hours, but nothing works. When I rung Samsung they gave me the number of a local samsung approved repair centre but would like it if you could let me know of what it might be before I get them to come and look at it. Samsung tsh 2758 27" tv not powering on (but it worked in the repair shop)? I have a 10-year old Samsung TSH 2758. It was given to me awhile ago by a friend. The first day it wouldn't turn on. The power light came on, started to flash and then turned off. The next day I tried again and everything worked. The third day when I went to turn it on, the power light came on, flashed and turned off again. So I had a repairman take it to his shop. He fixed it and tested it for a whole day. When he brought it back, the same thing happened while he was here. The power light came on, heard a click in the tv and then the power light started to flash and turned off. TV never turned on. My Samsung HPT4254 Plasma Tv turns off after 5 minutes then clicks on and off until unplugged, any solutions? I have a digital hi def cable box (by Cox Cable) and a Panasonic Surround Sound. Their power cables are all connected to the same surge protector. Unfortunately I have 14 months with the television so its off Warranty and look into repairing it myself or figure out a way Samsung will still replace it.

No picture on Samsung Rear Projection HLR5067 TV? I have a 50" Samsung rear projection tv. The model number is HLR5067. There is sound, but no picture, on all but one input. I have an HD Antenna hooked up to the antenna input, and I get a picture on that, so I know the bulb is fine, but no picture on any other setting. I called Samsung but they are clueless. Will Best Buy Repair a Samsung T240HD with a thin blue vertical line on the screen? Approximately three months ago, I have purchased a Samsung T240HD TV Monitor from a Best Buy Store. During that time, I did not purchase the store's Warranties and Performance Plan for that product. Everything went well with the T240HD until today when... A thin blue vertical line suddenly showed up on the screen! (when it is turned on, of course) I already knew that a customer like me cannot repair the above problem. I already knew that Samsung can only fix the problem, but I do not completely trust their customer service after reading several reviews about it. Therefore, I am considering taking the T240HD to the same Best Buy store. I will ask the technicians in the store whether or not they can fix the problem (even if it involves the technicians sending the T240HD to Samsung to help them fix it) for a reasonable price. Nevertheless, for those of you who have some experience with Best Buy's repair services, do you believe Best Buy will repair a Samsung T240HD that has the said problem? Suppose the Best Buy technicians do not repair a T240HD, but they send it to Samsung to repair it instead. Already acknowledging the fact that I will have to pay a fee for the entire repair process, is it worth going to Best Buy and asking the technicians to do the entire repair process for me - in terms of money and time?

Why does my 42inch Samsung plasma have a blurry red picture? For the last month my samsung plasma tv has been giving me issues. At first, half the screen would go black. So I called Samsung to get it repaired. But when I got it back a week later, the same problem reoccured. Except now, half the screen would go white instead of black with a few red pixels in the white... and just today I turned it on and the whole image on the TV is blurry and smudged with scattered reds and blues. The company that initially repaired it told me that it was because the TV was mounted on a wall, but even after taking it off the wall and putting it on the stand, the problem ensues. Any ideas?

Samsung CRT TV samsung tv txp3064: Blue screen problem? I have a Samsung tv txp3064 that I bought in December 2004. A couple of weeks back as I was watching it turned blue (took about a minute) completely and from that time onwards, all I get is a blue screen. When I turn on the tv, I get a bright white line in the middle of the screen and then it turns blue. The sound is normal and the subtitles are displayed in haze. Since it is not under warranty, I have to take it to an authorized service place locally. The tv weighs considerably. Can anyone know from the above description if the tube is gone and/or it is worth repairing? Thanks for your help in advance. PS: I did try unplugging and plugging back. Nothing worked.

Samsung repair, don't have receipt? We got a tv from Best Buy but later on we felt like changing it, so we exchanged it. When we got home, the tv we had swapped it out for had a problem but our 30 day warranty was up so we could no longer get a refund/exchange from Best Buy. Will I need a receipt from the exchange process in order for Samsung to repair it? My mother didn't ask for the receipt when we exchanged it, so we now only have the receipt from the original tv we had bought. My Samsung Tv Screen Turned Green...? I posted this before but I will post it again with the model number and extra info PROBLEM:We got a HD Samsung TV about 4 years ago and today the whole screen turned green and began to flash (the green itself was flashing). I can kinda see the picture still but it mostly gets blurred from the flashing green. We know its the TV because it does the same for a movie, but for some reason not my xbox. II have a Samsung TV LCD which worked properly,but suddenly there is found a color dissociation in it? I have a Samsung TV LCD SB42W5HF1X which I have bought 5 years ago.It was working perfectly but today when my children were watching tv in a stormy whether(I don't know if it is important to mention) suddenly the picture was distorted, that means the red color was dissociated in upper left and lower down part of the picture and now the picture is doubled as if a red drape of picture is hanged in upper left part.Would you please explain what is the problem and is it hard to repair it? Are Sharp and samsung the same company? My SHARP crt tv has just been repaired through the company where I purchased it. The picture just went on it, but I still had sound.I was told it was the transformer needed replacing. I paid and waited 8.5 weeks for it finally to return today. When it returned I noticed through the back casing a sticker with samsung printed on it which to me looked like it is stuck on the back of the tube!! Can anyone tell me what a transformer looks like, does it resemble the tube? And should this company repaired my sharp tv with samsung parts?? Please help.

Possible repair? TV mysteriously died.? I've got an older tube tv, maybe 5 or 6 years old which has recently ceased to operate. It's a Samsung DynaFlat Pro (nice TV in its day) that sits in the bedroom and is hardly ever used. The last time I tried to operate it it worked just fine. That was probably 3 months ago. Now I tried to turn it on and it seems to get no power. When it is plugged in to an outlet or an activated surge strip, it only makes a clicking noise that sounds like its trying to ground itself, but alas, no matter how long I wait it still has no power. If anyone has any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated. I'd hate to have to replace a TV that I only use once every couple of months. Thanks

Samsung 32" LCD TV Broken!? I have a Samsung LN-S3241D HDTV for four years. Great picture, decent sound, amazing. About a week after getting the TV home (in 2005) I noticed dead pixels that covered about half a centimeter of the upper right-hand corner of the screen. It was black so we didn't even care so much about it. After 4 years of it being turned on and off used with a high-definition cable box, it died. I turned it on right after my dad turned it off about 15 minutes before and watched some high-def shows one day. When I switched to a non-HD channel and watched the show for 3 minutes, the picture faded to complete darkness with streaks of color/static. There was a small amount of picture left which reduced the size of the TV from 32 to a tiny 12 inches of viewing area. I thought to myself, "this could be the cable box again" so i checked it but it was okay. The cables were in good and everything was okay. No picture but had sound. I then restarted the TV and came back on with blackness and streaks of color. Tried to go to the TV settings menu and the window didn't show up. I switched the source to the DVD player and nothing showed up. Not even the source selection (like Component, Cable, Air, HDMI 1/2 etc...) This TV was bought at Circuit City, Hawaii 4 years ago without any extended warranty at a price of 1100 dollars and they shut down in January 2009. Should I get a new LCD TV, or call up some repair shops to see if I could have it fixed. Does BestBuy do any repair services even though I didn't buy it from there? Did anyone have this problem regarding SAMSUNG LCD HDTVs?

Samsung LED TV problems? My Samsung LED tv is having some problems. The screen will start to flicker, change colors, and eventually turn off when the tv has been on for a long time. However, today, it was only after about 3 hours of use. I also think that perhaps my PS3 is the culprit. How though? It seems to happen after my PS3 is on. I called Samsung about it and they're going to schedule a tech to come a look at it but am not sure if they'll be able to do anything. They told me that only if they cannot repair the set...only then they'll try and replace it. I really don't want them to have to take the tv away to their shop but I have no idea what they're going to do. It's so incredibly frustrating. Does anyone have any insight on what the technicians will do or how they'll try and repair it? Will they need to take the set away and if so, for how long? Thanks for any help.

Samsung lcd tv is acting weird? When I turn it on after it's been off for a really long time it takes forever turn on and when it does it has a bunch of purple dots on it or a rainbow effect. If I turn it off and back on the problem is gone. Then the next day it's the same thing. The warranty is expired does anyone know what's wrong with it and how much it will cost to repair?

Samsung Slimfit TX-T2082 TV flickering?? I just bought a Samsung Slimfit TX-T2082 and have noticed some flickering in the picture. The flickering is basically a very slight flashing that occurs mainly when a scene cuts from a bright picture to a darker one. It's kind of like some slight unsteadiness in the picture. The kind you see in old, classic movies. The flickering is more pronounced when watching HD channels and watching DVDs in Component mode. There is still flickering when watching in Composite mode, but it's not as bad. I tried calling Samsung and they want me to lug that TV set over to their repair place, which is not an easy task and they may not even fix the problem too, knowing these crazy warranties. There may not even be any defect on the TV, maybe all TX-T2082's or all Slimfits have that issue. This is why I'm asking for people's help. For all of you who own a Samsung Slimfit, do any of you experience flickering? Also, do any of you know what the cause is and how I can go about fixing it? Scott: The problem is definitely not in the cable as I have the flickering problem when watching cable, DVDs and playing games. It does look like interference, but I don't see how that can be as the TV is not near any other electronic devices. I even tried plugging the TV on different power sources, but the flickering is still there. Based from what I have read and heard, some people claim that it could be a weak power source. Could that be the problem? If so, how can I go about upgrading?

Our tv is 6 wks old&faulty.We have it insured for 5 yrs.Comet are to repair it but could we ask for a new one? We bought a new samsung tv just over 6 weeks ago.The picture went black&white then would'nt stop channel hopping.We contacted comet who sent out an engineer.He siad it was a faulty panel so he would have to order a new one.As it was over 28 days old we could'nt have a new replacement.We paid for a 5 year guarantee.Surely a new tv should'nt need a part having to be replaced after such a short time.Does anyone know if we should have been offered a new one rather than having it fixed?

Cracked Samsung plasma TV 62"? My brother shot an airsoft gun at our Samsung Plasma TV thinking it wasn't loaded. There's a little crack where he shot and a white ring around it. II was wondering if this is easily repaired or do I have to buy a whole new one? Also about how much would it cost?

How much does a replacement screen cost on a crt rear projection tv? I have a 47" samsung crt rear projection TV with a plastic screen (sorry i don't know the technical name) with these really small ridges. There is an inch long scratch that is visible when there is something light on the tv, and its really annoying sometimes.How much would a new screen cost? Serious Samsung Projection TV Problem? Im not sure, but it is definitely older than 2004. The model code is hcn4727wx/xaa. It is a 1080i rear projection hdtv. my main problem is that one night, the colors just separated, so i assume it is a convergence problem. i left it overnight, then it recovered in the morning. Later in the afternoon, it started having the convergence problem again, then bam, it just turned all black. i tried to adjust the volume, or press the menu button, but nothing. i did some research with no significant progress. now i got 2 problems. do you think the convergence problem had to do with the screen turning all black? I power the tv up, but only the power indicator on the front turned on. its blinking for like 10 seconds, then turns off. based on the research i did, this is what i came up: convergence problem, and dead bulb. I want to be positive about this situation because i am no tv expert in anyway. please tell me whats up. please no answers such as: call customer service or something like that. If i do end up having to replace something or have it repaired, please estimate how much it would cost and what retail store to buy the supplies. And does Geek Squad fix this sort of problem? TV Problem - any advice? Hi there, I've got a Samsung 32'' wide screen tv bought in august '04, which on the delivery note says is a WS32A116D HTK. It has developed a problem when it is first turned on, it switches itself on and off repeatedly, at the last count 30 times, before it stays on. A tv repair man has taken it away for analysis, and has said he cannot fix it, because there is a problem with the main microprocessor which is a circuit-mounted device. He said it needs fixing and re-programming by the manufacturer. So, what now? I bought it from Currys who say they'll charge £80 + parts. I'm loath to use them because the Samsung replaced a Sony (DVPN330S 32'' wide screen) I got from them which never worked properly, even after they took it away to be fixed (under guarantee) 3 times.

Samsung LN-T3242H Hdtv lagging with the xbox 360 in 720p or 1080i is it my tv.? I bought the Samsung LN-T3242H about a month or so ago. At first i could play the 360 without any problems but its lags pretty much on any game with alot of action going on etc Call Of Duty 4,Halo 3, Graw 2, Gears Of War. My tv has a 8ms refresh time as the same as my Philips Hdtv and my philips doesn't have any of these problems. I have tried every picture setting on the tv and it doesnt make any difference. Game Mode also doesn't make any difference. It isn't my cables because i have bought some more and that doesn't matter. Now i have noticied that if i was to hook it up to an s video connection or regular video connection (yellow) it doesn't have this problem. Im thinking it may be my component video inputs which are the problem but i am not sure. Anyone have this tv and have this problem with their 360. Does it normally lag while playing games or is this a defect .Please let me know as I still have warranty so if the problem is the tv i can have it repaired. Thanks

Help my TV is stuck on Channel 4? I have a Samsung LCD TV which I bought about 6 months ago. It started misbehaving when on digital about a week ago. Menu's slow to come up etc but last night it got stuck on Channel 4. Don't have anything against that station but would like to watch others occasionally. It works fine on analogue, satelite, DVD etc. so the prob is not with the remote. Has anyone had a similar problem and if so can you sort it or do you need to get someone out to repair? SAMSUNG LCD went out after 9months, repair guy came out twice & still couldnt fix it, what should i do? has anyone gotten a new TV from samsung after its been broke & the repair guy couldnt fix it & how long did it take? this is really irritating especially since the repair guy doesnt speak eng well & he's ordered the parts all @ diff times so now he has to come out a 3rd time to replace the screen, it wouldve been more efficient to just order them all @ the same time so i wouldve only wasted 1 day waiting for this appt. has anyone exchanged a TV to circuit city after 9months? i kinda doubt that would wk now since they've filed for bankruptcy but then again since thats the case y would they care. i just think this is ridiculous that i have to wait for a 3rd appt and the guy will prob fix it now when thats when i need him not to so i can just get a new 1 from samsung. broken tv screen (40 inch hd widescreen lcd samsung)? My friend put a large crack on my 40 inch lcd tv, it cost 800 and the home insurance is covering a replacement. I have to pay 250 pounds excess, well my friend does. I am allowed to keep the old 1 but is it worth while getting it repaired?
