Mitsubishi tv repair, on my own? I have a 7 yr old Mitsubishi 52" tv, split screen, don't recall model #, Not HD. The tv was turning off by itself, when hot. I had a repair man look at and fix. I had a 90 day warranty. He said he replaced the power supply inside. But after a month it started to do the same. He kept taking with him to shop. After a few weeks, he said he could not fix. What happend to the new part he installed right? well now I gues from him tkaing back and forth the screen is out of alignment. Like the horizontal/vertical is off. can i get in from behind the set to reset the picture to fit the screen. When you take off the front panel there are buttons, but those control the color of the 3 light bulbs inside. I don't want to call another repairman to come look at it. The guy who worked on it is giveng me my money back $100. at a time. Hmm, i wonder what he would have said had I done that to pay him? Anyway not my question, the repair is. Thanks

Mitsubishi Big Screen TV Convergence Repair? A friend of mine is selling a Mitsubishi 61" Rear Projection T.V. Medallion HD1080 series model #WS-65819. The TV does work but he says it needs convergence repaired. Supposedly parts cost only $15 and it's not too hard to do yourself. I have done some work on electronics and know how to solder. He is selling the TV for $80. Does this sound like a good deal? Thanks!
Question about in home tv repair on a 42" mitsubishi projection 1080i tv? I am having a convergence problem for some reason. Just started today. TV repair help..how do I fix my Mitsubishi rear projection TV? Making a project out of fixing this really nice projection TV. I downloaded the service manual and read up on it, watched youtube vids on people fixing thiers. dont really have a choice no money to hire someone. The problem is when the TV is on for more than an two hours we get horizontal lines going across the top and bottom. The lines are kind of wavy and seem to vibrate a little. I opened the back and used an air can to spray the dust off of the boards but it still happens. I have a multimeter but dont really know how to use it yet any suggestions??? Thanks
Has your Mitsubishi rear projection TV been destroyed by bulb coolant leaks? I have a 60-inch rear projection which I bought new 6 years ago and the projection bulb coolant fluid leaked out onto the electrical components completely distroying them. I couldn't believe that Mitsubishi would build a TV that has liquid coolant suspended just above the electrical components with no shielding. I talked to a repair shop and they said that Mitsubishi made several models with the liquid coolant suspended above the electrical components and regularly the coolant gaskets leak and distroy the TV. I asked him what I could do about my TV and he said that Mitsubishi stopped making the replacement electronics for my model and that I would need to buy a new TV. I asked him why he thought Mitsubishi built a self destruct mechanism into my TV. He said he didn't know, but when he gets one in that is repairable, he always installs a gutter to catch the fluid leaks. I talked to several other shops and they all told me the same. How can I get parts to repair my 60-inch TV? I don't plan to buy another Mitsubishi if I am forced to buy another set. I have been told by several people that Hitachi makes about the best quality big screens. Do you know if this is true? I called Mitsubishi and asked them why they didn't send me a letter to recall my TV set while it was under warranty for installation of the $20 fluid gutter that would shield my $2500 set from destruction. All indications are that they knew about this problem at the time that they sold me the set and the service department never notified me to explain that the fluid frequently leaks and that my set was in danger of self destructing itself because of a design flaw. I sent letters to Mitsubishi service dept. showing proof of purchase, and the diagnostic report by Burris and Price stating that the set was destroyed by leaking fluid. I asked that they sell me the needed parts or discount a new set. When I called them, they would only reply, Quote: "We aren't going to do anything about it sir" Mitsubishi TVs are JUNK. I own one. They don't sell replacement parts needed to repair a set that had a design flaw. This isn't a $200 set its a $2500 set. I got ripped off. I have the evidence. There are lots of TV manufacturers who sell nice big screen sets which are considerably less expensive than Mitsubishi's and many of those other brands have greatly outlasted my set. Most other TV brands make parts available for repairs, but Mitsubishi doesn't even make parts available to repair an expensive 6-year-old rear-projection TV. Why did Mitsubishi stop building their sets with the inexpensive catch pans that protect the delicate electronics? What customer wants a TV that self-destructs? Why did they leave off an inexpensive $20 catch pan when they knew that it would destroy TV's, unless their motive was to destroy TVs? Is this a Mitsubishi's strategy to bring TV consumers back into the market? I may be in the market for a TV again, but certainly not for a junky Mitsubishi product.
Mitsubishi TV not turning on or responding to remote - HELP!!? I have had a Mitsubishi big screen 1080 Hi-def TV for about 3 or 4 years. I have had NO problems with it and have loved it, until now. When trying to use the factory remote, I get no response. When I try to turn it on manually, the green light on the front blinks and nothing happens. I have tried unplugging it for 24 hours, but it really didn't change anything. There is a reset button on the front, so I tried pushing it. The green light blinks, but I am able to turn it on if I am there to manually turn it on RIGHT after the green light stops blinking. Once it is on, it stays on and works great until I manually turn it off. We have tried pulling the TV out and cleaning inside; removing the accumulated dust and cleaned the lenses. Does anyone know what this could be? Any thoughts? I called the TV repair people, and they want almost $100 just to come out and diagnose the problem! I have to pay the parts costs and pay them hourly on top of that; not something I can afford right now. Thanks for any help!
Would it be worth it to repair my Mitsubishi VS-5046 BIg Screen TV? My Mitsubishi VS-5046 BIg Screen TV died. It had a problem with the picture coming on. We would have to turn it off and on to get the picture to come on. And it had a lot of green around an image with a white background. I had to turn down the brightness and contrast to make it look better. Then it stopped working, no picture. The screen still had light and there was sound but no picture. When turned on without any video signal it sounds like a heart beat. Would it be worth it to have it diagnosed?
How hard is it to fix a Mitsubishi 50 inch projection tv that has sound but no picture? Just like the question says, how hard is it to fix a Mitsubishi 50 inch projection tv that has sound but no picture? What would it need? Just a bulb? Would I have to have a specialist to repair it? Thanks!
Looking for repair help for a 55" Mitsubishi HD1080 -Medallion TV.? When starting screen looks corved on the sides with colors out of line. Corrects itself after about 5 minutes
My Mitsubishi TV just went out. Whats wrong with it? I have had my Mitsubishi TV for about 10 years now, Its a big screen 61 inc. I have been the only owner of it. Never have had a problem with it. Just last week the whole screen turn black and it makes a clicking sound when i turn it on. What could it be and how much would you think it would cost to repair it? Is it even worth it? Thanks
Projection TV (Mitsubishi WS-55905) sound but no picture. Is there something I can do to fix it? While watching TV, the picture got fuzzy then black out, there is sound but no picture. Is there a reset button. The owner's guide suggestion is to call a repair tech. I was hoping the fix is little. like a loose wire that needs to be tighten.
TV needs repair- projector lamps won't turn on? I have a Mitsubishi WS-55857 tv and one day it stopped working. The sound comes in, but no picture shows. It's a projector TV, so I looked at the bulbs and it looks like they flicker on and off when I turn the tv on. When on, it's only about 50% of reg brightness level, then when they turn "off", they look like they're about 5% bright. Eventually they stop flickering and they all stay at about %5% brightness. Is there a ballast or something that powers them up that went bad? and if so, where can I buy a replacement? I've looked online, but no luck. I can't find any parts for this tv. Inside the tv, there is a part which looks like a distributor cap on an old chevy with spark plug looking wires, I have a feeling that's the part that went bad, am i right?
How do I light a fire under Mitsubishi for a junk DLP TV? We bought a 57" Mitsubishi model# WD-57731 and in 10 months it has blown 2 bulbs. There is obviously a problem with this tv and Mitsubishi has you call their indonesian customer service reps and give you a 3-4 hour run around and still will not get the service providers there to repair this TV. We were basically told when the warranty is up, we would have a $2000 paperweight. Any suggestions?
A TV repair question? i have a old mitsubishi big screen, DLP TV i think. well i took the backing off and my bulb/lamp is red. and my tv doesn't turn on. it makes the on noise but then nothing happens and it shuts off again. what does this mean. and how much is this going to cost me to get fixed. and something about the model number is messed up. b/c it has 2 model numbers. it has: VS-5005R and VS-5006R please help
Mitsubishi WD62530 TV "lamp"? Earlier while we were watching, the TV suddenly turned off and it seemed like there was a short circuit. Then when we tried to turn it on again, the "Lamp" LED was on and the TV would have an audio but no video for 15 seconds and it would turn back off. It does the same thing over and over whenever we try to turn it on. Question... 1.) Do we have to replace the "Lamp" of the TV? 2.) What does the "Lamp" LED exactly means? 3.) How much would be the cost if we sent it to shop for repair? This is our TV image and stats http://www.hdtvsolutions.com/Mitsubishi-WD-62530.htm
How many have had the blinking green light of death on their Mitsubishi rear projection ws55813? This is a faulty design. Check out online, there are hundreds of posts regarding the mitsubishi rear projection tv. My problem is with my ws-55813. The green light of death popped on, so it won't work. Techs say $1000 to fix it. Posts online say it costs $5 do it yourself. I'm no technician. Mitsubishi should honor a repair for this monumental problem.
Where is the Horizontal Output transistor in Mitsubishi TV CK-3531R? Was told by a repair tech that the problem I'm having is the (HOT). Researched it and sounds correct. I can't locate it on any of the boards though. Please Help.
Mitsubishi flat screen tv. Is it cheaper to fix or buy a new one? Color is fading? Its a 42 inch flat screen which was quite expensive 4 yrs. ago. The color is fading and I would like to know if it would be costly to fix that, and if so, if I should just buy a brand new TV? Are they worth fixing? What does something like that usually cost? The repair shop wants us to bring it in, but it will be a few days, so any advice?
Easy fix to a TV repair problem? I have a nice 30" Mitsubishi television set (old @13 years) that has a problem which I think should easily be fixable. The television has a vertical hold problem at cold to normal temperatures which goes away at warmer temperatures. It seems like there might be a loose connection problem exacerbated by lower temperatures (shrinkage) that goes away when the set warms up (and expands). I was wondering if anyone might have an idea of what might be wrong that I might be able to adjust myself, rather than paying ~$200 to fix or throw it away? Any help would be appreciated
Big Screen Mitsubishi Tv Is On the Blink,Its Ten Years Old Can It Be Fixed? We have a large 54 inch projection in a box televison .The tv works mosts of the time but the colors red, green and blue will just pop out and leave the screen blank with the sound on .Sometimes It does it for a few minutes other times It does it for an hour then pops back on and will stay on for weeks with no problems. We are considering buying a new one but when we bought this one it was very expensive. Can it be fixed and if so will it cost about as much as a new one to have repaired or should we just get rid of it and buy new? Its very nice with wood grain exterior and hate to just put it out on the side of the curb.If you have some expertise with these types and there is hope for it please post here .thank you
Where can I find service manual to Mitsubishi WS-55809 TV? I really need it to repair the convergence problem caused by faulty ICs Thanks
Mitsubishi VS-4502R Projection TV Powers on and works ok, then screen starts to shrink? It will begin to shrink within 2 minutes of being powered on. The screen will shrink from top and bottom and move toward the center leaving a black space at the top and bottom until the TV eventually just powers itself off (as if to protect itself). I've heard of "veritcal sweep" problems but not sure exactly what that means or how much to repair...Any ideas?
Question about a Mitsubishi 55 inch screen TV!!!!!!!!!? Okay, I have a 55 inch Mitsubishi screen TV. Not sure how old it is because I got it from a friend. When I turn it on, the screen like flashes and takes like 5-15 minutes to warm up and show a clear picture. BUT if I put in a movie in the DVD player or my boyfriend plays his game on XBOX, it has these black lines going across it and it makes the picture really blurry. Sometimes for like maybe, 3 minutes it will be a clear picture, but other than that, it's not. Then today, I went to turn it on, but the little green light to show the TV is on, came on for a second, and clicked right back off. I tried multiple times to turn it on but it wouldn't turn on. I did some research, and it said to unplug your TV for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in and that it might turn on. I did that and it worked but I don't know how long it's going to last. What could possibly be the problem? And how much would it cost to repair it?
Mitsubishi big screen tv color lines off? My Mom has a VS-412R Mitsubishi big screen tv. It is very old but still works. The colors lines are off though and I can't seem to get them to line up using the controls on the tv. When watching something, it is only on the left but it is very distracting. It has done this before and she had it repaired but she cannot afford to have someone come look at it this time. So I was hoping maybe it was something I could do myself but I don't know where to go from here. Sorry, can you explain that in layman terms :)
Troubleshooting a Mitsubishi TV model number VS-50609? I have a tv that wont turn on. When u give it power the service light blinks three times to indicate there is power but there is a short, at least i think. I took apart the tv and found a liquid residue on the power pcb board. I cleaned it up the best i could but still no good. Please help if u have any idea what is wrong or how i could fix it. And im not ganna take it to a repair guy. I have checked the signal board its fine, so im almost 100% sure thats not the problem. I work as computer tech so im sure i have your tools, im just not familiar with the tv repair and i dont want to send it to someone who will charge more for the repair than the tv is worth. Especially if i have any chance at all to fix the problem myself.
I need the T.V. Manual for a 1992 Mitsubishi 35" TV? The vertical hold is not working. And I was told that the manual has a quick repair This is a TV not a Car Question.
Mitsubishi CK-3531R TV - No Pix; No Sound; Just Click? When I turn on my Mitsubishi CK-3531R 35" Color Console TV (purchased Dec 1990), the pix and sound comes on for 1 sec and then I hear a relay click followed by both disappearing. Unplugging the TV for about 1 hour allows me to repeat the same sequence. Since the pix tube for this TV is still in excellent shape, I would like to try to repair it. My guess is that there is something wrong with the power supply electronic components. Has anyone got any ideas on how to troubleshoot and repair this problem? Thanks.
Can you easily replace "red" in Mitsubishi rear proj big screen? I have a 56' Mitsubishi TV 16:9 ratio. It's still working great except for the red color is gone. Does anyone if that's a common repair? Easy to do? etc..
Problems with DLP TV? We bought a Mitsubishi DLP TV over a year ago from Circuit City, now out of business. It was supposed to be warrantied by some other company, but their phone numbers were disconnected. We are having a problem with the screen constantly readjusting itself (to standard, full, zoom etc.) Usually it starts happening after watching for about 20 mins. The button is not stuck. My question is, what would you do? Would Best Buy come out and fix it for a fee? What about a TV repair shop? Please help
Estimate on mitsubishi LCD repair? My kids damaged my TV by spraying oxy clean and water on it. Now it has a smudge on the front and I was told that water may have seeped inside. The repair guy gave me an estimate of 600 to 700 dollars. Is this accurate or is he trying to rip me off?
Where can I sell a broken tv? I have a 52" Mitsubishi WD-52525 that has a messed up power supply. I don't want to spend the money fixing it - I'd rather just buy a new tv. Anyway, I'm trying to figure out how I can get some money for this one. Is there any place that buys these sorts of tvs for repair or for spare parts?
i have an older mitsubishi projection tv model vs-45603.i get no picture but sound is normal.what can i do?? i think a power surge may have caused this.is it possibble to repair myself, and how?

Can you help me with my mitsubishi proj.TV model vs-50609? When I turn it on, all i get is white noise and COLORED horizontal lines. Is this a simple fix, or is it not even worth getting it repaired?
I suddenly lost the picture on my Mitsubishi 50-inch TV (model VS 5052) manufactured in Sept. 1994.? My cable service tech confirmed the problem is not with the cable or converter box, nor any of my attached components (DVD, VCR, etc.) The channel display appears briefly on the screen, but no picture. I have had the projection bulbs/lamps cleaned by a technician regularly since 1994. Picture and sound were of good quality until just yesterday......no gradual deterioration. I suspect it is time to "move on" from my big box TV rather than spend $200-$300 (or more) to repair it. Your thoughts and advice would be appreciated.
Mitsubishi 50" Big Screen turns off after about 5 seconds? I recently got a 50" Mitsubishi Projection tv , I think its a VS-50705 I know it was made in Feb 2001. Anyway when I plug it in the power button on the front flashes 4 or 5 times. When I go to turn it on the screen starts to warm up and then after about 5 seconds it turns itself off. I've taken basic electronics when i was in school and I am usually pretty good at fixing things. I talked to a repair shop and they told me it would cost $350-375 for them to fix. I know how to test and change components but have no idea where to start. I have checked all the fuses and theyre good.
My mitsubishi projection tv model vs-5052 is not working properly? Sometimes when the tv is on it works fine, but other times......well within a couple of minutes to a couple of hours it goes from a completely clear screen to a bunch of waves and the screen gets all distorted. On occasion, if you let the tv run a few seconds or minutes the screen will clear up, on others it don't. You have to turn the tv off and wait a couple of minutes and then turn it back on. My husband banged on the back of the set and the screen would go clear and then distorted and back again. I am wondering if there is a loose connection of some type, or if something needs repaired or replaced. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
PROBLEMS with mitsubishi WT-42413 projection tv? My tv was working fine, then the screen flickered for a few seconds and now the picture still looks great in the middle, but about 6 inches on either side of the screen is showing doubled images. I already checked the color convergence screens and they are still aligned correctly, but the images on the sides of the screen are red offset from blue. the picture also is concave, being narrower in the middle of the screen and wider at the edges. What is causing this and is there a way to fix it myself and avoid overpriced repair charges? ok, so the image isn't doubled, it's tripled. All 3 colors, red, blue, and yellow are seperated but still only on the very left and very right sides of the screen. I went 2 the advanced convergence screen, and a couple of the smaller blocks were out of alignment, but then as I wuz trying 2 correct them, the screen flickered again and it corrected itself, so i had 2 move the lines back 2 where they were 2 begin with. It's crazy.
Tv repairman took my Tv to his shop to repair. over 6 mos. ago he won't give it back. Not ready he sa? The picture on my big screen tv was getting a little discolored and I called a repairman to come look at it. He said it was some circut board and he would charge $600 to replace. My wife agreed. he took out the circut board and left. 2 weeks later he tried to install the new piece and said he needed to take the whole tv in, cause there might be something else wrong. Well that was 6 mos. ago. He won't return my calls and when I talk to him he said he shipped the part to Mitsubishi factory in China or somewhere and is waiting to get it back. I think he sold my tv or he took out all the parts and used them to fix other tvs. What recourse do I have? Can I call the police or is that something they don't get involved with. Can I sue him? If so for how much? The price of a new one?
Mitsubishi Big Screen - black screen w/sound? I just got a used Mitsubishi TS-50811. It worked great for about a week and then last night the picture started to get some what scrambled - like poor video quality. Then all of a sudden the picture went off and the tv powered down. I waited a minute and turned it back on. It came on but is was doing the scrabled thing again and then went off. Now today, when I turn it on I only get audio but no video. I've searched online for some help but I can't find very much for this model and I was hoping someone with TV repair experience could help. Could this be a bad lamp and how would I tell which one it was? Thanks! I think this tv is worth repairing, as long as it doesn't get over $500.
Rear projection tv convergence? I had severe convergence issues on the television i bought recently. it is a 7 year old mitsubishi rear projection tv. I reset the convergence via the service codes, and went right to readjusting them. i DO know what im doing, so dont start with that. here is where the problem arises. for some reason, i cannot adjust the convergence of the red. well, i can, but only up and down. it will not adjust left to right in any manner. no horizontal setting will change. the number signifying the position does change, but the convergence doesnt actually move. any ideas on what the issue is or how to fix it? remember, it is only the HORIZONTAL of the RED. it is not under warranty obviously, and im not spending $500 to have a tech repair a TV i paid $200 for. Mitsubishi WT-42311 i already have all the convergence set besides red. took about an hour from a total reset. how would i go about that repair? you can email me if its easier. faaaaq@gmail.com. if its simple, post it here in case someone else needs the same info megan are you sure thats the issue? i can still adjust the red, just not left to right and right to left, or anything involving horizontal movement. also, would this be the part needing replacement? http://www.mcmelectronics.com/product/SANYO-STK392-110-/STK392-110
Mitsubishi CS3525R repairs? I have a Mitsubish 35 inch TV that has worked great for a long time. Recently, the screen started to scroll when it was first turned on. This was particularly evident if the screen display was white or mostly white. We ignored that for a while, but now the TV is emitting a screech (but not from the speakers - since we hear it even when the TV is on mute). Other than these problems, the color, sound, etc is great. I don't want to purchase a new TV, but it has gotten to the point where we can not listen to the TV anymore. The closest repair shop wants $100 to pick it up and another $75 to diagnose. Was hoping NOT to be taken advantage of like that. Any ideas? And if so, is the solution something that a non-technical (but fairly mechanical) person could handle? Or should I just bite the bullet and spend the money? Thanks in advance.
Whats the best hdmi cable to use for cable box to tv? I just bought a new hdtv, 120hz Mitsubishi and my cable picture isnt that good, i had cable company repair cable and im receiving perfect signal to my cable box but my picture still not that good, is there a particular brand or style of hdmi cable i need?
How do I get Mitsubishi to respond to the problem? Bought a 65" TV about 5 months ago. Mitsubishi sent two different authorized repair people to my house, both identified the problem as speaker buzzing. Mitsu tech support does not have a fix. Mitsu customer service tells me to go buy a home theater system. This has been going on for more than 2 months now and still Mitsubishi will not repair or replace. I like the TV otherwise. I don't think I should have to pay more for speakers that don't buzz at low to mid volumes. They are very difficult to deal with.
Mitsubishi HD1080 turns to a blue screen, WHY? I have a Mitsubishi HD1080 and we get a blue screen when we are watching TV. We can hear, but cannot see pic. Don't know what is wrong with it. Really don't want to replace - it was an anniversary gift from my family and I like the style/size. Any ideas what might be wrong and if it is worth making a service call? Easy repair?
corner of tv screen damaged? i got a 27 inch mitsubishi tv given to me, the picture is beautiful , the tv was made in 1986, the only problem is the right top corner looks to have a crack in the glass tv screen, and i was wondering how long the tv will last, and can this be repaired, it isnt noticable when the tv is on, and it has a full picture, the crack doesnt seem to be all the way through, its on one of the layers of glass
I have a rear projection mitsubishi that was hit during a recent power surge. Is it worth repairing? It's approximately 5 years old and was a great Tv up until the last storm. Who should i call for repairs and how much will it cost?
My TV stopped working after I left it outside? I have a 8 year old Mitsubishi 35" TV that has been working wonderfully until last week. I wheeled it outside because I was getting a new Plasma screen. It sat in the cold (the lowest it got would be 35 degrees F), no rain, for almost 3 days. I then brought it inside, and when it turns on, the sound works but the entire image is squeezed into a .25cm horizontal line in the middle of the screen. So the screen is all black except for a white line. Any suggestions besides call the repair man?
Should I repair my television or chuck it? Yes, I know that this is an OLD tv, Mitsubishi 55 inch diamond series , (about 6 years), but can anyone help me with this problem: the television image gets distorted about once every 10-30 minutes and the distortion is that I see red, yellow, and green with slight distortion in image (like seeing 3 of the same object overlapping together). Does it sound simple to fix, or should I chuck the TV? Thanks for replies. I just don't want to spend 700 bucks or so when I can get a decent LCD for a few hundred dollars more. By digital you mean HDTV? It's a 1080i set even from back then. HD pictures is great, it's just this new problem we are seeing. Like I said I just do not want to spend half the cost of a new TV on that one is 6 years old. Plus it's a giant rear-projection TV.
Problems with a projection TV? I have a Mitsubishi WS-A55 55" projection HD tv. It's about 5-6 years old, and it's having some problems. The biggest has just started recently, and I fear it might have resulted from the recent cross-country move I made. Basically, with no apparent pattern, the picture will start to flash to black for 1/2 a sec, then come back. Sometimes it does this once, other times it will keep doing it at irregular but repeated intervals for minutes on end. I don't think it has to do with the cables, because it happens on all of the inputs, and it will even occur when I tune to an input that has nothing connected and the tv goes to blue screen. While it's doing this, the audio remains constant and perfect. Is this something I can repair on my own? If not, how do I find someone to replace it, and what can I tell them to give them the best idea for what the problem is? Thanks everyone! Well, here's an interesting addition I just discovered... if I mute the tv, and wait for a flicker... when it flickers, it cancels the mute and returns to the volume it was at before I muted it. Does this help identify the problem?
Mitsubishi vs-60VA2 color adjust please help.? Alright so i just got a TV from a friend (Mitsubishi vs-60va2 60") And the colors are a bit off.. I went in and tried messing with the color align from the menu option and i have the option to move the blue and red from left to right and up and down. I can move the blue just fine and have it adjusted with the green, But, When i try to move the red left to right it shows the little arrows blinking as it does with the blue to indicate that it's moving, But it doesn't move at all.. So since i can't move the red and it's further to the left then the green/blue i have a really funky almost 3d looking picture. If i can figure out how to move the red over to match up on top of the blue/green it should fix the problem. Friend said he just paid $250 last year to get a new "Projection" Put in? Maybe he was talking about convergence board or something? Anyways i just want to know if there is something i'm not doing to make the red move or if i need to get it repaired and how much it will cost.. Great picture otherwise.. It seems as if the blue is off a bit on the right side but not on the left? Like when i'm watching a movie there will be a blue shade on the persons head on the right and on the left it's clear as a bell? If that has something to do with it hope it helped. Thanks a lot!!!! Is there anyway i could get a link to to ic's i need for model vs60va2? I'm not really sure what i'm looking for but if someone can give me a link i'll buy them and see if i can soder them in
The red bulb on my tv is out of sync. how do i get it fixed without pro help/paying any money? I am not the one who bought the tv but it is a Mitsubishi and it has an AV input above the insignia with Medallion to the right of the input there is also a label sticking out saying PlatinumPlus series. on watching, the green and blue bulbs display normally but the red bulb is wacked out in several places. it is watchable but fixing it would be better. anyway i opened up the back of it and all 3 bulbs function normally so i cant see how to repair it. can someone please help?
Does anyone know where I can Buy the Power Board for My Mitsubishi Television (WD-52525=M/N)? I asked this question last week and had a few very negative answers come at me. I may only be 17 years old but this is what I do for a living, I build computers, replace perf boards, repair perf boards ETC. I have already replaced 4 capacitors on my current power board however the step down transformer has gone bad and I cant find it online because it is a special made mitsubishi part. If anyone knows where I can find the power board online to buy, I would very much Like to KNOW!!!!! NOTE: I know the risk I am taking working on this tv, but take my word for it when I say I know what I am doing, I have done this many times before I am just having a hard time finding the part that I need. WITH THAT SAID IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO HELP ME OUT DO YOURSELF AND I A FAVOR AND BLOCK MY NAME FROM YOUR CONTACTS BEFORE YOU FUCKING PISS ME OFF AGAIN WITH YOUR NEGATIVE DISBELIEF. Thanks for the help. Travis Stevens

Can someone help me? My mitsubishi rear projection color is off. I can not move the convergence crosses.? I payed some jek to fix my tv and $150 later it looks the same. I tried adjusting the convergence but it will not move in any direction. He said he put in a new convergence chip that was like a 2 in 1. It took him three visits and my tv is still the same. The colors are off. I tried reseting the convergence but it does nothing. He did some sodering and messed with it but nothing has changed. It used to turn on and the power light would come on but not the tv. After letting it sit a few days the tv picture would come back but its color is off. I dont know exactly what year the tv is but its probably 5-10 years old and is 65" Mitsubishi. I bought a universal remote for this brand specifically. Im about to throw it away and I cant afford to take it in for repairs. Any suggestion?
Why is my TV's color separated? I have a big screen (I think in the 40 inches) 2004 mitsubishi and after a bad storm, the left side of the screen was tinted red and the left was tinted blue (it looked like one of those movies with the 3d glasses). why did this happen and how can we repair it?
Television repair question.? I have a 37 inch Mitsubishi it's a 1992 model number CS-35MX1. I get black and white vertical lines instead of picture. Is it a vertical hold switch problem or picture tube problem? Is there a reset button on one of these tv's? I'm one of those people who doesn't want to throw it out if I don't have to, but I don't want to keep it around for nothing. Thanks a heap Graham, tres helpful!
Replaced lamp on Mitsubishi WD-62525 but now timer light is flashing constantly? I recently got a HDTV from my brother but he let me know ahead of time that the lamp was in need of replacement even though the tv is only 3 years old. I just replaced the lamp yesterday and the lamp light went out. When I plugged in the TV however, the timer light immediately began flashing yellow rapidly. I looked at many forums and many said that this is due to the DP board needing repair of replacement. The thing is is that my brother who is an electronics expert, had just replaced the board on the TV. He told me to try and unplug the tv for an extended period of time than plug it back in however, it is still flashing. What is weird is the fan in the tv is on but the TV won't turn on completely. What could possibly be the problem with the TV? Right now it's just a big waste of space and I need to know what the heck is up with this darn TV.
anybody else have problems with BEST BUY? i have a 65 inch Mitsubishi that needed repair. i called BEST BUY, they sent over a tech. the guy never touched my tv, i turned it on and he said "you need a main board", he went out to his BEST BUY van and came back ant told me theres no parts available for my tv. for this i paid $100 not satisfied nor believing what he told me, i called another repair place. they currently have my tv, it didnt need a main board, it needs a different part, and of course, parts ARE available. i politely asked BEST BUY to refund my money, to which they refused. what a ripoff! i will never spend another dime in a BEST BUY.
Is there anywhere online I can find the prices of color guns for a Mitsubishi 46"HDTV? My Mitsubishi 46" HD TV has the color guns in the front behind the speakers. The green one is off. I jiggled it and my green color came back on for awhile and then shut off again. I have read about adjusting the convergence but I have no clue what that is. I was looking online to see if I could find the price of a new green color gun. Does anyone know what they cost and can I replace it myself? If I have good directions I am good at repairing things. The guns are out in front and easy to get to. What else could be wrong? thank you for any advice.
